The Convergence of Autonomous Driving and Artificial Intelligence

In February 2025, competition in autonomous driving technology within China's automotive market entered a new phase of escalation.

Vehicles equipped with advanced sensing devices (schematic diagram) refer to next-generation cars that integrate LiDAR, millimeter-wave radar, cameras, and other cutting-edge sensors. Leveraging artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, these vehicles possess autonomous driving capabilities and are gradually evolving into intelligent mobile spaces and application terminals. This transformation is regarded as a disruptive technological revolution in the automotive industry‌.

BYD announced that its entire lineup would adopt the "Divine Eye" intelligent driving system, with the first 21 models featuring the "Divine Eye-C" technical solution, covering price ranges from ¥70,000 to ¥200,000. On February 25, Tesla rolled out a phased software update for Chinese customers, introducing urban road autopilot functionality‌.

According to incomplete statistics, since February 2025, multiple automakers including Geely, Dongfeng Voyah, Dongfeng Mengshi, IM Motors, Great Wall, GAC, and Chery have announced integration with DeepSeek. Large models like DeepSeek demonstrate the potential to achieve comparable urban autonomous driving performance with reduced data requirements and training costs‌.
