CECAETT Co‑hosts the China‑Europe International Cooperation Salon on Industrial AI & New‑Quality Productivity

On July 29, 2026 🗓️, the GNIS‑led China‑Europe International Cooperation Salon on Industrial AI & New‑Quality Productivity took place in Chaoyang District, Beijing.

Guided by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Talent Work, this event aligned with the European session of the “Overseas Talents in Beijing” initiative 🤝. It brought together Chinese and foreign academicians, 32 European AI PhDs and postdocs, plus over 40 representatives from industry, universities and research institutes, to discuss how AI empowers high‑end manufacturing.

The China-Europe Center for Advanced Engineering and Technology Talent (CECAETT) co‑hosted this event 🎤. Four professors — Prof. h.c. Dr.-Ing. Ömer Sahin Ganiyusufoglu, Tao Yang and Yan Jiang from the Center’s Expert Committee, together with invited guest Bernd Sachweh — delivered impressive keynote speeches and held in‑depth discussions on AI‑driven manufacturing.

As Secretary‑General, I presented the CECAETT and our high‑end talent training program spanning China and Europe.

As a key measure for talent development, CATARC, Fraunhofer, CCID, FESCO EDU and CECAETT jointly announced the launch of the China‑Europe Excellent Engineers Training Consortium 🚀. It focuses on joint training of engineers and co‑development of industrial projects to deepen China‑Europe science‑tech innovation cooperation 🌐.
